Privacy Policy

Effective July 3, 2026 · Applies to RightMate (App Store & Direct editions)

In one sentence

RightMate does not collect, upload, or analyze any of your personal data or file contents. Everything happens on your device.

What we don't collect

• No personal information (name, email, location, etc.);
• No file contents ever leave your Mac — path copying, hashing, and file creation all run locally;
• No analytics, ads, or third-party tracking SDKs;
• Your settings stay on your device (and in your own iCloud Drive only if you enable config sync in the Direct edition).

Purchases (App Store edition)

The "Pro Lifetime Unlock" purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment information.

License activation (Direct edition only)

When activating a license bought from our website, the app sends to license.bigstar.cc: the license key, a one-way hash of a device identifier, and the device name — used solely to enforce the 3-device activation limit. The server stores only a hash of the key and nothing else.
